Team Fortress 2 Server

I was just wondering how many people here are going to be running TF2 servers. I know I will be!

YES! I will. But when does the server files come out? Same day as release? I hope something gets patched so you can use an admin mod on it.

I think it's expected to come out a week or so before the release.
I believe that the announcement will be made on the hlds mail list.

Don't quote me on this, but we might be in for a surprise of having admin tools included by valve. I am thinking this from browsing the preloaded source gcf's and seeing and admin directory and dll. Again, I have no idea if this actually is an admin tool, but I can say it isn't there in any current source server game.

That's always been included.

Indeed, the admin folder is located at SRCDS\platform\admin
and the adminserver.dll is located at SRCDS\bin

if we see an admin folder inside the actual mod folder now that would be something

Here is what I am talking about. It might not be functional upon release, or it might be for future use. I sure don't know. But I can say I don't see this on my updated linux dod server.
