I have two servers, is it possible to have them share a ban list and client list?

I'm afraid you'll have to copy it over to each other (if you are running from different server folders)
If you run from the same install/copy you will share them automatically.

Well how would you share the same folder?

you can run all servers from 1 folder if you like by making different server.cfg's and startup shortcuts or BATs

Example:
Server1 => c:\SRCDS\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike -maxplayers .......
Server1 uses server.cfg

Server2 => c:\SRCDS\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike -maxplayers ....... +exec server2.cfg
Server2 uses server2.cfg

Only disadvantage you have is that all servers run the same plugins.
Just like the server.cfg you can make different config files for different servers

Server1:
Mani Admin uses mani_server.cfg and is exec'ed in server.cfg
Server2:
Mani Admin uses mani_server2.cfg and is exec'ed in server2.cfg

But what if i want different map cycles?

motdfile motd.txt //The MOTD file to load
mapcyclefile mapcycle.txt //File to load mapcycle from

in server.cfg keep this the same

in server2.cfg set mapcyclefile mapcycle2.txt
you can also set a different MOTD, set motdfile motd2.txt

simply copy mapcycletxt and motd.txt, rename to mapcycle2.txt and motd2.txt and edit them to your needs.

thanks for that last very good post. and about maps, why would you want different maps-folders for two seperate servers? I mean the maps are the same and can be stored in the same folder without any problems.

About the other stuff, ALWAYS remember to use a different +port in your startup parameters.
