Windows XP or Server 2003?
#1
Hi guys

Apologies if this has been asked previously, I tried using the search function on the forums but I couldn't see anything in the first 10 or so pages.

My brother is upgrading his PC so I'm going to use his old one, a P4 3Ghz with 1GB RAM, and turn it into a dedicated machine for running some servers at a LAN we're attending.

I've got a copy of Server 2003 and a copy of XP, I work in an IT company so both are legit Smile I know my way around both OS's, does one work any better than the other for srcds?

Again, sorry if this has been asked before recently

I would think Server 2003 would be better, since it is made for servers. But i wouldn't expect there to *too much* of a difference between the two. Probably would just come down to preference.

Cheers fella, I had a feeling it would be negligible but good to be sure Smile

Think I'll stick with XP, its already on it now Toungue Ta again
