Server Help
#1
I am trying to run a cs:s server using srcds and it when it is running...it will show up on gametiger.com as my external ip 71.116.38.191:50369. My shortcut target looks like this:

C:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike -tickrate 33 -ip 192.168.1.46 -port 27016 -maxplayers 14 +map de_dust2 -insecure

Im using port 27016 because I also play source on this machine.

I will leave it running overnight in case you need to see it go to gametiger.

I cant see it from the master servers and neither can anyone else. Also they cannot join it through steam or source itself.

I have verizon dsl and a westell versalink gateway modem and all necessary ports have been forwarded. I don't know what is wrong and am asking for any help.

also, does verizon purposely change the port to some random port because I thought my server would be running on port 27016 as i told it to? Thanks for any help anyone can offer me.

Some routers do that, they need advanced configuration or they just wont work.

I have no knowledge of suck routers so I'm afraid I'm not much of help to you.
One thing you can try is DMZ.
