Hey guys,
I've finally decided to post this thread, because I'm stuck at a problem I cannot solve. :S I won't go any further, unless someone helps meh. >_>
The following server was supposed to be a LAN-party. But it wouldn't work!
Problem: Connect to it (server). >_<
Progress:
I've successfully updated the server files via 'steam update tool' or whatever you call this these days. :d Configured the server config file, as well. (I guess it's ok.) Created shortcut to the HLDS execution file, added ' +exec server.cfg +port 27017' to the command line.. All fine. Server running. Now I'm launching the game. Looking at 'LAN servers'... Nothing. Trying to get the LAN IP in.. (with 'connect')... Wouldn't work!
Now, just for TEST I unplugged the internet cable.. but it wouldn't work either. 'Server not responding.'
What's the problem? Have I missed something? :S
I'd be glad if someone could help me at this point.
(P.S. I know about the forwarding ports, but it's not my problem, is it? I mean it's gonna be a LAN server, not Internet...)
