Another MDMP Request!

Big Grin
Just wondering if anyone would be willing to tell me what .dll is causing the crashes on my server. It seems I have two different ones based on their file size, so I'll post them both in a .zip file.

Thanks in advance! Toungue

Does anyone have Visual Basic .NET 2003? -.-

Hey--I've been wanting to be able to open these forever but everytime I load vb2003 my system becomes unstable.  They can also be opened in the stand-alone Windows debugger but I don't know if the output is useful.  If anyone else following knows how to get useful results from the windows debugger, please post.

Here is what came up on these though:

Indeed. I've tried using those tools and haven't got and good results. It doesn't seem that read you did came up with much of anything either, just errors. I appreciate the help though, and hopefully we'll both find a solution soon.

If anyone can launch vb2003 successfully, please recheck my mdmps. Thank you!

I did some more digging/reading and found that they do open in the FREE Visual Studio 2005 Express Editions.  If you want to try it, the download is here:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/downloads/             (get c++)

After installing it, just double-click the mdmps, then right click on it, then debug, start new instance.  It will then pop-up an exception-click ok, then you can examine and poke around.

I opened some of my crashdumps and yours and there is a little more info, but because we dont have symbol files (source is not open-source) we wont be able to find out more than the assembly line number and statement of the program running at the time of the exception.  The windows debugger seems to show only what's at the top of the stack -- server.dll on the posted mdmps (given my limited knowlwdge of the tool).

If the symbol files (or something substitutable) actually are available, could someone post a link?  And, if there's a more appropriate answer, please, someone post.

I get the same results. There's been other people who have done this before, and people have been able to read these dumps, so I'm hoping they return and see this thread and do their thing. ^.^

I don't have Visual studio.net 2003 installed atm, it doesn't work with visual basic.

I talked to manofphat today, and he said he'd take a look at them at some point and post here, so I suppose I'll wait for his response. =)
