There should be just a button and an IP box for it but I'm not sure where it's hidden Smile

Some routers don't work...

routers suck, try to make a direct connection

That router model works fine with srcds servers. It's the same one I use and have no problems just using port forwarding.... Works in DMZ also just fine...

What is your console startup line?
What is the WRT54g firmware revision?

Yes make sure you have set up the ports, duh I know, then make sure that they are configured to forward them to the machine running the server. You have to check some of the other options aswell. We had a situation where our Netscreen was dropping any packet it didnt recognise and as a result wouldnt let the servers connect.
Tinker Tinker Tinker my friend. Chances are there is something you have overlooked.
Another Idea is making sure you put the -ip <your internal ip> -port <your game port> on the end of the shortcut just to make sure your game is running on the ports you want. DMZ is a last resort really and seeing as your router does seem to work with srcds I would think that is a config error in the router or on the executable.

this is my command line C:\hlserver\srcds.exe -secure -game cstrike -pingboost 1 +map de_dust -maxplayers 16 -autoupdate -tickrate 60 -192.168.1.102 -port 27016

i add the ip and port to end of it still nothing also after i enable the dmz in the router do i still have to do any thing for the server
