i cant connect to my own server
#1
i am having alot of trouble with my server. only with me though none of the clients. i always time out or the game freezes ( only on my server). i have noticed all the error messages i get are related to entities. what are entities? here are a few meesages i get:

1. Update delta not found.
Netchannel: failed processing message svc_PacketEntities. (occurs many times during game play)

2. host error: ....blah blah blah entity. (this is the final message when i get disscontected, after message #1)

3. WARNING: ....cl_flushentity packet. (appears in red in top right of screen during game play)

also i dont get these when im alone in the server. only when other people join, including bots (weird). and the more people their are the faster the game crashes. the problem must be connection related as it does not happen anywhere else. i am runnning and playing on the server on the same computer, which definetley has an effect. i really dont know i have tried soo mnay things. I NEED YOUR HELP!

A friend of mine had this lately, he reinstalled the game before I could get to it but it seems to be a cvar you can set so.
Try to go to console and set cl_flushentitypacket to 0, it's used for debugging purposes.

cl_flushentitypacket 0 For debugging. Force the engine to flush an entity packet.

no this didnt work. i was sure it was it just seems like it would, maybe i didnt do it right...theres not much to it though. and in order to do it on the serveri have to have sv_cheats set to 1.

a few questions about your friend though. was he getting this problem on his own server? or just while playing CS on any server. and did reinstalling fix it?

anyway thanks for your help, have any more ideas? im leaning to a reinstall cause this is frustrating.

He had it everywhere when people/bots were playing, when he was the only one in the server all was fine.

After the reinstall there weren/t any problems at all, running nice and smoothly.
It's a very rare error and I haven't found a solution so far.

Reinstall will fix it, but I hate waiting Big GrinToungue

im not sure a reinstall will be a fix anymore.  i connected to my server from another computer in my house and got the same message on my server.  That computer has a wirless connection to my server computer.  therefore it must be related to my router or internet, not the game.  i tried updating my firmware but im having troubole doing that.  it think i will mess around with some of the router setting as well.  its a shame its so rare because i cant find any info on it.  anything that seems to have info on it is in another language lol.

...ok so i enabled "filter internet NAT redirection" on my router and it fixed all the problems i was having before but left me with more problems. now when people connect i lagg like mad and their pings are all in the 200's unlike before. and shortly after someone connects the server closes with the error:

"srcds.exe application error"

the instruction at "****" refrenced memory at " ****** ". The memory could not be "read". click ok to terminate the program.

hopefully this set of probs will be an easier fix then the last.

the application error is most likely a broken plugin (if you are using any, try disable them one by one untill the crashing stops)
