CS:S Server not in Master List
#1
Hi, I've got a CS:S Server running with Mani Admin Plugin, MetaMod:Source, CS:S Deathmatch and CS:S RPG MOD.

The server is online and people are able to connect to it if they add it to their favorites, we can't however find it if we browse for it under Internet in Counter-Strike:Source.

My question is this, how do I add it to the Master List? Toungue

Server IP: 85.82.159.88:27015
Server LAN IP: 192.168.1.111

Port 27015 from 85.82.159.88 is forwarded to 192.168.1.111

it has something to do with your router, firewalls or ultimatly your ISP.

Do you think there might be other ports besides 27015 that I should be forwarding?

Ahh yes, got it working now .. Was looking around on Steampowered and found them suggesting to do the following.

Firewall/Router Settings
If you can't see your server in the list or your friends are not able to connect to your server then this could have many causes. One of them is that you're behind a firewall or a router.
If your server is behind a firewall and/or you are using a router, you need to open/forward these ports:

UDP 1200 (Friends Network)
UDP 27000 to 27015 (Gameport)
UDP 27020
TCP 27030 to 27039
TCP: 27015 (SRCDS Rcon port)

How do you open up the ports since I use a Linksys router?

Hello !
Can you post the exact command for launch your server please ?
I have a problem, my server is connected to a router. The DHCP gives to my server the ip 192.168.1.50
I have forwarded all of the TPC & UDP needed ports
But, when i launched my server with this command :
Quote:srcds -console -game cstrike +ip 80.76.125.25 +maxplayers 12 +map de_dust
A error message appeared :
Quote:couldn’t allocate dedicated server UDP port
On many forums i have seen another command to specify another UDP port i've tried this command too :
Quote:srcds -console -game cstrike +ip 80.76.125.25 +maxplayers 12 +map de_dust -udp 27015
I have got the same error message (Couldn't allocate ... port)
Then i have deleted the ip argument and i don't have an error message but the console says "IP : 192.168.1.50"
Quote:srcds -console -game cstrike +ip 80.76.125.25 +maxplayers 12 +map de_dust -udp 27015
I want to make an internet server !!!
All of my friend who have my Internet IP can join the game without problems but my server is not in the master server list
# sv_lan 0
# sv_region 3
The consoles says Adding master server and two ip adress following (no error occured)
But my server is no more in the public serverlist Sad

Maybe a question of time ?
How many time must i wait for appears in this list?

PS : Sorry for my pitiful english i'm french

You should use the IP from DHCP, the router "owns" the external IP, therefor you can't get it on a different computer behind the router.
So instead of this:
Quote:-ip 80.76.125.25
Use this:
Quote:-ip 192.168.1.50

Quote:srcds -console -game cstrike +ip 80.76.125.25 +maxplayers 12 +map de_dust -udp 27015

The correct command for the port is: -port <portnumber>

While the IP is your internal IP your server is still on the internet.
Like you said your friends were able to join.
The master list doesn't work with every router, it shouldn't take longer than 30 minutes to show up on it. If it doesn't show up it means the router is still not configured correctly, you could try the DMZ option.

PS: Nothing wrong with your english.
