I'm having this same problem, except my server is a dedicated box in a data center. Currently I have ports 27011, 27015 and 27020 open in the main firewall for my box. No matter what I do, it will NOT appear in the master list for me. However, I have had random people join it before and it does say connection to Steam servers successful. What does this mean and can anybody help me out?

Some routers and some ISP's will not allow the SRCDS to be registered in the main list, it's either a router problem or your ISP.
To check if it's the router you can make a direct connection with the server and see if it pops up then.

QUESTIONS ANSWER!

did you have before these

external ip:port or internal ip:port?

did you have your firewall off before?

which port did you port forward to and did you forwarded to your extenal ip or internal ip?

HERE maibe something to help, make sure that nothing is blocking the srcds!
and it is like this, the servers ip is always different with other people and that is why people cant connect. they have another ip for the server, but when you give the external ip and nothing is blocking it and maibe you should have firewall off people should be able to join.

i still dont get this why the server making is so hard!
i dont even have a server that works because of my router that doesnt have a DMZ.

if you have a DMZ use it!!!

Try using your DMZ, also getting a static IP is almost a MUST. You can get informed by your ISP about a static IP. Some ISP's can give you a static IP for free, some charge a small amount, depends..

ok i got the server working , but alot of lag , i searched the forum and i got a quote from steampowered , aparently if u have 128kps but on speedtest.net i have 83kps so that means like max players 2 ;_;

The "real" connection speed is the speed the ISP says it is -10% of that number.

so 128 (lets say 130kbps) -10% = 117kbps.

I'd suggest at least 512kbps upload to host a reasonable server.
