lol you are quite stupid hellmaker99 ... Drocona is very helpfull and without him srcds.com forums wouldn't be such a helpfull place as it is.

Your are probably just mad because you posted a kiddie post and no one answered you or said something to you that you should post in a better way and now you are freaking out.

C'mon ...

Hi I have been having the same issue as he was, and I went through that whole program creating a static IP address and doing the port fowarding and my friends and clanmates still get the "Not Responding" when they try to join. Any ideas? I can join it myself, just nobody else.

All you can do then is triple check if you did it correct,
update the routers firmware,
try DMZ option

if all fails get a new router that DOES do the job correctly

a guy I know told me to go to ipchicken.com and that tells me my real ip and to use that one, but that doesnt make sense to me and dunno how to change my ip to that one. Also I updated my firmware like another site said to do and still no luck.

That IP on that site is your EXTERNAL IP.
Your router gives you a LOCAL IP.
What you need to do is forward the needed ports to your LOCAL IP. What this does it that when your EXTERNAL IP (router) gets sent a packet to that port it know that is should send it to your server.

Does that make any sense?

that makes sense, but everytime I post my ip, which HLDS automatically posts as 192.168.1.136:27015 ... which is what ended up being my static IP..

When i post this for my clanmates they keep telling me that works just fine if I invite them into my house to play, but I opened up ports 1200, 27000 - 27015 and i forget the other one like 27030 or whatever the site posted they tell me they need my external ip of 24.179.199.62:27015

Either way nobody can get in even after updating my firmware, now I'm at the point where I have to go till I get it working so im not defeated lol.

also does it make a difference if this computer is connected wirelessly or with a cable?

Cable is better.
If they are outside your house, they would need to use your external IP.

If it doesn't work with port forwarding, then try to DMZ your box.
If both those don't work it possible that your router is broken.

Port forwarding to your server computer SHOULD work.
