Are there any easy ways to advertise for your server?

you can use adverts from mani or use your motd, otherwise there are not ingame adds thank god.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I guess that there isn't a list of servers somewhere.

Advertising is done by the people that play inside your server, that will either make it popular real quick or it will take very lol. In the end every server will be populated (If the quality of the server is good!).

You can register with gamemonitor or stuff liek that, your server will end up in a rankings list. It might pull some people.
