Converting .txt to .cfg

Alright, I'm having trouble with my server.cfg file....the problem is I can't convert that file to a .cfg. It is saved currently as a server.cfg.txt file...and I have looked and looked but can't find out how to change it....any suggestions??? all help is greatly appreciated [/i]

it's pretty simple, there are multiple ways:
simply edit the filename and delete the .txt (you have to disable the "Hide known extensions or something to make extensions visible)
if you can't find that you can use notepad:
save as.. "server.cfg" (INCLUDING Quotes)
or save as.. server.cfg and select "all files" from the dropdown menu
