Server not visable from internet
#1
Yeah im having trouble :'(

i have downloaded installed and setup ALL configs's to run the server i have the command run line as follows:-

-console -game cstrike +map de_dust +exec server.cfg -maxplayers 6 -tickrate 66 +fps_max 600 -port 27021

i have no ip specified as it is sv_lan 0 so i thought it would auto set.

i run the server and the bot's join and start killing each other the server says:

Adding master server: blah blah
Adding master server: blah again..
Connection to steam servers successful.
  VAC secure mode is activated.

and it starts logging all shots etc for a stats page im gonna have setup on it. BUT the server will NOT show on the net :/ i have tried everything, port forwarding, setting ip's the lot even checking sv_lan which is 0 but it also says underneith t (when i type in the server consle "sv_lan"
sv_lan "0"
server is a LAN server.. then some other bit sayin NO heartbeat etc etc..

am i doing something wrong?
the server isn't even visable on the LAN tab when searching for servers.. it used to be but i changed my comps ip out of the DHCP IP range to its own manual set LAN IP and now the only way to get the server to show is by adding it to my fav's (lan ip :27021) or use console and type connect <ip:port>

im running short on ideas here guys so any info will help Toungue

cheers.

also when i do connect from other internal pc's the ports of that user are different and not 27015 or whatever they are normally set too.. instead their 1402 or random port numbers like that

If the external poprt is random there's something wrong in the setup of your router.
Either try DMZ option or check the configuration.

Also go to start>run "cmd"
then type ipconfig to bring the ip table up, check what the ip adress is and use that to set the +ip parameter on the server.

my server is doing the same thing. it shows it is up and running and has added to the master but when you go to the net it doesn't show up. if you try adding it to favorites with the I/P it will not add. I shut it down and set it to run as a lan server and tried to see it. i saw it once and tried to connect and got an error of bad challenge which shut the server down. when i started it back up i cannot see it from the lan nor the internet now.
