Whenever I run the srcds.exe file by itself, the GUI doesn't appear at all. It's worked for me before, but the difference between now and then is a complete reformat of my hard drive.
Running a cstrike server in the console works just fine, but running srcds.exe without any parameters just does nothing. Has anyone experienced this, or does anyone know a fix?

use the same startupline as with running console only now just delete the -console parameter
Also, running GUI isnt smart, console is the best and has best performance

no problem, it's mostly the most simple things that you just dont get to work and are real annoying.
