[SOLVED]Copy An Install

Once you have downloaded an install from Valve (./steam -command update -game "counter-strike source" -dir) can you then copy this to create another game instance, or is it best to download again ?

Im not sure it it does any behind the scenes path setting etc that would make copying a bad idea, but 3 1/2 hours of downloading is a real pain.

Linux server if that helps.

You can just copy, it's not really a program with registry values or whatever, it only creates files.
I've copied it like 3 times, works exactly the same
