Meta mod vs standalone

what is better Meta mod or standalone for example mani mod has a standlone version and Meta mod which one is better

just what you prefer really.
Some plugins need METAmod to run on. If you have metamod plugins you can aswell run mani on metamod.
If you don't have any other metamod plugins I would just run the normal mani version.

one big + with metamod versions: you can live disable plugins and update them (overwrite via ftp). Standalone meens you need to restart the server at least one time.

i new u can disable it but i didn't know u can change version. how do u change versions

Disable the desired plugin and overwrite via ftp, than restart via rcon "rcon meta load plugin number"
