Nothing slows down a woodworking project quite like discovering that your planer knives are dull halfway through the job. Do you keep an extra set ready to swap in, or sharpen and replace blades only when needed? The DeWalt-compatible range includes replacement sets for DW733, DW734, DW735, and DW735X planers.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I just had this exact issue last week with my DW735, so I had to jump in. I keep two spare sets now, but honestly, the real game-changer was writing the date I installed them on the blade body with a marker. That way I know if I’m just being impatient or if they truly are dull. Do you guys store your spares with the setting jig already adjusted, or do you set that up each time?
