OkMap Desktop is an interactive mapping application that allows users to work with web maps, purchased digital maps, scanned maps, vector data, and digital elevation model (DEM) information. It provides tools for organizing routes, waypoints, and tracks directly on a computer and transferring GPS-related data between the application and compatible devices.
The software supports raster, vector, and hybrid maps and can work with multiple maps simultaneously. Users can calibrate raster maps, manage vector objects, select multiple map elements, and use various zooming, fitting, and map navigation functions.
OkMap Desktop also provides cartographic projection and datum databases, GPX data management, map annotations, and altitude-related functions. It can automatically assign altitude information and estimate travel times based on the configured map and route data.

Software OverviewOkMap Desktop provides a workspace for viewing and managing different types of digital map data. Raster maps can be calibrated and displayed using support for more than 30 image formats, while vector maps can be displayed independently or combined with raster information to create hybrid maps.
The application can open multiple maps at the same time and provides nine commonly used cartographic projections. Its internal databases include more than 500 predefined projections organized by geographic area and more than 300 datums.
Vector data management supports points, multipoints, lines, and polygons. For GPS-related work, OkMap Desktop can manage GPX waypoints, tracks, and routes, allowing users to organize this information before transferring it to a GPS device.
The software also provides map navigation tools, contextual menus, automatic information display, object selection, toolbar customization, and support for viewing supported raster maps in 3D through Google Earth.
