Facing Criminal Charges After Self-Defense
#1
I don't know what to do; I'm in big trouble here. I'm facing a criminal case for a fight. It happened last week. Someone tried to rob me in the evening, but I managed to fight them off and broke their arm. Now I'm facing either jail time or compensation for emotional distress. What advice can you give me?

Unfortunately, without security footage or witnesses, proving the assault will be virtually impossible. The attacker will now portray themselves as the victim, and if moderate injuries are confirmed, you'll likely get a prison sentence or probation.

Such situations are common, and you need to be extremely careful in such cases, as now no one will be able to prove they were trying to rob you, and the entire legal system will come down on you for causing the injuries. I recommend contacting a federal criminal lawyer https://arkadybukhlawfirm.com/practice-areas/criminal-defense-federal-crimes/
