Got a nursing interview, what should I ask them back?
#1
I am currently studying for my SRCDS certification but the courses are still ongoing and I need to work in the meantime. I just got offered an interview for a nursing position and I am kinda freaking out because I always blank when they ask if I have any questions at the end. What are some solid things to ask so I do not just sit there awkwardly?

The questions you ask at the end tell the interviewer a lot about what kind of nurse you will be, so it is worth having a few ready instead of winging it. You want to ask about things that actually affect your day, like what the nurse to patient ratio looks like on a busy shift, how long orientation lasts, and whether new staff get a preceptor or are just thrown in. There are plenty of resources online with sample lists of questions to ask the interviewer nursing candidates should prepare, one of them is here https://roundlyhq.com/blog/questions-to-ask-the-interviewer-nursing/ .

Write your chosen questions in a small notebook and bring it with you, it does not look unprepared, it looks organised. Glancing at your notes before the end of the interview shows you took the process seriously enough to prepare ahead of time.
