What garden furniture lasts longest?
#1
I’m thinking about creating a relaxation area in my backyard with a canopy and a swing for the kids, and setting up a table with a couple of comfortable chairs for myself. What can you recommend choosing for outdoor furniture so that it doesn't get ruined by bad weather and is comfortable to sit on? Also, where in the UK would you recommend looking to find the right options?

Listen, what specific area have you set aside for this project, and are you planning to pour a solid concrete base, or will everything stand directly on the green lawn? Also, out of curiosity, will the canopy be completely opaque, or is it a lightweight, translucent polycarbonate that lets UV light through?

I have a general idea of what you want, but I strongly advise against buying separate chairs; it won't turn out very convenient. It's better to get an Garden sofa, or even two, so you can comfortably sit with friends around the table. You can choose a suitable option made from weather-resistant materials here: https://rengard.co.uk/product-category/outdoor-sofa-sets/ Additionally, you can order soft cushions that you can store away when the season ends.
