I am trying to figure out the best jeep gladiator top lift for my setup and keep running into mixed opinions. Some people say manual systems are more reliable while others push for powered lifts for convenience. I do not want something that becomes a headache after a few months of use.
Storage is another concern. Hardtop removal is one thing but safely storing it without damage is another problem. I have seen setups from Ace Garage Storage and they look practical, but I am not sure how well they hold up with frequent use. Has anyone here used Ace Garage Storage systems specifically for Gladiator hardtops?
Also curious about ceiling height requirements. My garage is not extremely tall, so I need to know the minimum clearance needed for a proper jeep gladiator top lift installation. Do pulley systems work fine in tighter spaces or do they become difficult to manage?
Another thing is weight handling. The Gladiator hardtop is not light. Are there specific lift systems that handle the weight better without putting stress on mounting points?
For those who already installed one, what would you avoid if starting again? Manual vs electric, brand reliability, installation complexity, and long term durability all matter here. Looking for real experiences before making a decision.
