Cleaning waxy fruit
#1
I have always been paranoid about pesticides on fruit, especially apples and grapes. No matter how much I scrubbed them under the tap, they still felt waxy and slippery. I started reading about how deep those chemicals penetrate and it grossed me out. My sister got me a Milerd Detoxer for my birthday and I honestly thought it was a gimmick at first. But then I used it on a bowl of store-bought grapes. After the 5-minute cycle, the water was literally cloudy with dirt and residue that came off. The fruit actually squeaked it was so clean, and the taste was much crisper. It uses ozone and ultrasound, so it kills bacteria too. Now I can't eat produce without running it through the machine first. It is super simple to use, just drop it in the water. If you care about what you are putting in your body, this is a must-have gadget.
