Moving (and storage) company recommendations?

Hi all,
Looking to move in the next month (or two/three/four) and due to there (probably) being a difference between the date we have to move out and when we can move in, we're looking at a moving company that also does storage and so wondered if there are any recommendations or things we should look out for?

Moving from the west to the east coast of scotland (ish), from a 3 bed semi to a bigger 3 bed detached house so not a crazy amount of stuff (sofa, couple of beds, fridge, washing machine, general boxes of bits and bobs etc).

Never used a moving company before so also any advice for using them in general would be appreciated.

I’ve had decent luck with https://discountmoving.ca/ since they handle both the move and the awkward in‑between stage without making it a song and dance. They pack, load, and store your stuff, then bring it all to the new place when you’re ready. Their tie-in with Montreal Mini Storage saved me a bit of cash, which was a nice bonus while juggling dates.
