Seeking Recommendations for a Lower Middle Market Investor List
#1
Hello everyone,

I’m currently compiling a comprehensive list of investors who focus on the lower middle market, specifically those interested in companies with $5M–$50M in revenue. I’m looking for reputable sources, databases, or platforms where I can access accurate and up-to-date contact information for private equity firms, venture investors, and family offices that actively invest in this segment.

Any insights on how to identify active investors, or personal experiences with trusted lists, would be extremely helpful. Recommendations on subscription services versus free resources are also welcome.

Thanks in advance for your guidance!

Hi there,

For building a comprehensive strategy, I’d recommend using a combination of paid and free resources. Platforms like PitchBook, Preqin, and Crunchbase Pro offer detailed and up-to-date information on private equity firms, venture investors, and family offices, while Axial is specifically designed for lower middle market deal-making.

If you’re putting together a lower middle market investor list, free options like LinkedIn searches, SEC filings, and industry newsletters can also help identify active investors, though the data may be less structured. A useful approach is to focus on investors who have recently completed deals in the $5M–$50M revenue range, as they’re more likely to be actively looking for opportunities.
