Hi,
I'm not having any luck getting a dedicated server running.
I've tried everything I can think of, but must be missing something.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
System: Windows 2000 (up to date as of now)
Network: Belkin wireless router connected to NTL
Server: Source Dedicated Server (installed via the Tools tab in Steam)
I have done the following:
1. Forwarded ports:
- UDP 1200, 27000->27015, 27016 and 27020
- TCP 27020->27050, 27015 and 27016
2. I have tried with VAC on and off
3. I have entered my IP address into game-monitor.com (with and without port number - tried 27015 and 27016).
4. My software firewall (zonealarm) has been shut down.
5. I have set an RCON password
6. I have tried with and without user password
7. I have NOT done any other server configuration. I don't know where to begin.
The console says that Connection to steam was succesful and I usually get at least one message to confirm that VAC is enabled or disabled (as appropriate). However, I do get the occasional bad challenge message.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks
Andy
PS. Is there a manual for this software?
