#1
Hello, I have a problem with srcds.exe on Win Millenium. When I launch my batch file :

"start c:\hl2server\srcds.exe -console +ip XX.XXX.X.XX -game cstrike +map de_dust -maxplayers 8 -autoupdate"

The server start :

Console initialized.
Attempted to create unknown entity type event_queue_saveload_proxy!
Game.dll loaded for "Counter-Strike: Source"

and here, I get this error message : "Host_Error: IDLLFunctions:Big GrinLLInit returned False"

What can I do ? thx

I format my computer 2 times... I re-download all files again and again... That doesn't work.

One year ago, my server worked... I don't understand why it is not still working !?

looks like a bugged dll file (have this alot when testing my own plugins) or a missing DLL somewhere that couldn't be executed/loaded.. too bad it doesn't say what DLL this is about. Do you ahve any plugin or things like that?

not any plugin... I delete the bin folder and re-download it many times. All my files are in their originals versions... no plugins no modification... nothing.

But I can't find "game.dll" so how can it be "loaded" if it doesn't exist ? ("game.dll loaded for CS:S" message in the console just before crash)

grrr help

I think the issue might be the fact you're using windows ME.

And since one year ago there have been MANY updates. I'm quite sure they dropped support for windows ME or added something that windows ME can't handle.

My advice:

download this:
http://bouncer.gentoo.org/?product=gentoo-2006.0-minimal&os=x86

Burn it to a cd, boot the cd, and install Gentoo, then you'll have the perfect box for running srcds.

I'll even provide install services.

start a dedicated server with a livecd/dvd? dunno, never tried it, might be possible. at first its very difficult, if you know linux you shouldn't really have any problem, you'll just have to learn how the emerge system works.
