Cold Weather, Hot Tub?
#1
We’re planning on being at AKl the second week of Jan., and it looks like we’re bringing the cold weather with us (sorry ☃️). While I know the pools will obviously close when it’s cold out, will the hot tubs?

DH enjoys the hot tub even if he has to walk through a foot of snow to do so, but there’s no sense packing swimwear if the tubs will be off as well.

I see it's been a while since you've posted, but I just wanted to ask—has anyone tried using a pop-up canopy or windbreak around the hot tub during colder months? I’ve been thinking about doing that to cut the wind chill, especially on breezy nights. Curious if it actually makes a big difference or just adds more hassle with setup.

We went on a trip to Alaska last winter, and even though the pools were closed, the hot tubs were still running strong—nothing beats soaking in warm water while it’s snowing around you! I’d definitely check with the resort or property to confirm, but usually, hot tubs stay open year-round. For extra tips on maintaining tubs in colder temps, backyard pool and spa is a helpful resource.
