Shopping for a chandelier need guidance on lighting
#1
I am shopping for a chandelier for a small entrance hallway. The space is only about 7x7', but the ceiling is tall at about 10-12'. The existing hanging light is one gloomy light bulb, and the whole space is rather dim and dreary. See the first photo. So my primary goal is to replace with a bright, lively chandelier and really light up the space. I see a lot of chandeliers with one bulb, which concerns me because the current hanging light is also one bulb and it is dim and really inadequate.
I don't know anything about lightbulbs. Incandescent are the ones being phased out right? Aren't LED lights to cool in temp? Should I look for high lumens or high watts? Beyond aesthetics, I don't really know what to look for in terms of lighting power. Just more bulbs?
I've attached photos of a couple chandeliers I am looking at. Any other suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

I see it's been a while since you've posted, but I'm curious—did you ever find the right chandelier for your space? I’ve been going through the same process and realized that dimmable bulbs make a huge difference no matter the fixture style. Also, has anyone here tried smart bulbs for chandeliers? Wondering if they’re worth it or just more hassle than they’re worth.

I had the same issue figuring out how to light up a space with a high ceiling. I ended up mixing overhead fixtures with some wall lights for flexibility. Adding wandlampen modern really helped create layers of light and made the room feel more balanced without overpowering the chandelier. It also gave me softer lighting in the evening without having to rely on the main fixture all the time.

I see it's been a while since you've posted, but I'm curious—did you ever find a solid fix for the lag during map changes? I’ve seen this happen when the server loads too many plugins at once. Maybe a delayed load approach could help? Also, has anyone tried updating SourceMod or using fewer autoexec commands to see if that improves performance?

If your goal is brightness, more bulbs definitely help. LEDs aren’t too harsh if you pick a warmer color temp, around 2700K–3000K, and lumens matter more than watts these days. I put a small chandelier in a 7x7’ entry once and went with one that had 5 bulbs—it lit up the whole space beautifully. Also, stumbled on https://www.seuslighting.com/collections/bubble-chandeliers for Bubble Chandeliers, and some of those really make a small space feel lively without being too harsh.
