Gear pump standard?

Is there something like NEMA sizes for hydraulic gear pumps? Or is there a small cheap gear pump that is used like everywhere?

I am unfamiliar with hydraulics and need to do some experimentation. Looking around for pumps I don’t seem to find anything that says a mounting type or standard.

Gear pumps might be a good solution to power things up top without overloading the system. They’re pretty reliable, efficient, and can handle higher pressures, which could give you that extra push for a tidal prop. I just wanted to chime in. I’ve been working on a similar project recently, swapping out some old gear pumps for newer replacement pumps. Honestly, I’ve found the whole thing a bit tricky. I was looking into some outboard lower drives too, and you're right—fitting a larger prop in those lower unit cases could be pretty challenging.

I’ve thought about going with a tidal prop idea too, but I wonder if the extra mounting could cause issues with efficiency or durability. For now, I'm leaning towards finding a more compact solution for the pump itself, but it’s definitely been an interesting learning curve! Anyone here have experience with gear pumps in this setup?
