Hollanda Wrote:Wow you have a server with 4 x amd 275 ? You are my god. yes I do it's 4 x (2 x amd dual core opteron 275) to be exact each server has two chips, making it 4 internal chips and I have 4 separate machines. Did you tink I meant I had 4 chips in one machine? haha eXaXXion Wrote:it's 2 x dual 275 dumbfuck ....... 2 x 2 x 275 (which is dual). So what you're saying: 8 cores. I know 4 x 275 don't excist, I have my own dual 275. Still you're overbooking planting 240 slots on that machine. Let me explain you what low budget is: Hosting more than possible on the machine, which means it will lag the server when a high % of slots are full. Most of the times this has to be done because of the companies price level. Hosting less slots will mean the hoster will not earn but loose on the machine. Quality $2 per slot prices are impossible. This way you allways have to do concessions, not in hardware quality but in overbooking the server too much. So form what I previous read from you: You earn $5000 a month with 4 servers. $2 a slot means 2500 slots on those 4 machines? Or you're mad or you have a problem counting. Hollanda Wrote:eXaXXion Wrote:it's 2 x dual 275 dumbfuck ok I'm done explaing this to you in detail. Just so you know, not all 99999 slots you host are full 24/7. You need to have a good insight and decide how many slots you should host on one machine. actually nvm I'll talk about it a little bit more. yes, I was exaggerating about $5000 because I didn't subracxt colocation monthly payment, but I still make quite a bit of money from this game hosting business. The key to success is to determine the "average number of players" for your customers' servers. It's really hard to find it and it usually takes a while. But most servers' "average number of players" don't exceed half of the servers' max slot. If you sell a 32 slot server, it won't and probably never will be filled with people 24/7. In general, a full 32 slot 66 tickrate css server uses roughly 25% of 1 x dual core opteron 275 cpu. ok so let's multiply this by 4 and you get 128 slots. 1 x dual core opteron 275 can handle 128 slots at the same time and please don't argue with me on this because I've just done way too many tests on this. I have two chips of amx dual core opteron 275. so that makes it 128 x 2, 256 slots. ok now, like I said above, most servers' "average number of players" don't exceed half of the servers' max slot. so why don't we multiply this number by 2? this means that all of your customers' servers are half full 24/7 without stopping. that's 512 slots. if I charge $2 per slot, 512 slots multiplied by $2.00 is $1024. and this is very close to my actual income on one of the servers I own. when you host 512 slots, these slots WILL NEVER, I say agian, WILL NEVER be full at the same time. So I don't understand why you keep saying it's low budget. If I didn't have money, how did I get 4 x 2 dual core opteron 275? that's right. I already have my job and it's just my hobby. my stable financial status allows me to invest extra money into this game hosting business. Tarball's server ip is 216.218.214.197:27015 "BrightDev.com GMod Build - Hosted by exunited.com" just so you know, he didn't get boosted slots and he paid only $2.00 per non-boosted slot.

I assume the servers on this list are yours
http://game-monitor.com/search.php?search=dutch.nl&type=server I calcualted the "average number of players" on your servers and they don't even equal 40% of the total slots. you have 9 servers. If I add all slots, they equal about 138 slots. now I will add "average number of players" on your servers. they equal 27 slots. 27 slots out of 138 slots are full... ok that's only 19.6%. if I have customers like you, I could host 4 times more slots than what I'm hosting right now. you still think I'm on low budget? then I have to doubt your IQ...

Quote:If you sell a 32 slot server, it won't and probably never will be filled with people 24/7. My friends server stays full 24/7 and its 32players... So try not to exaggerate more.. Just thought I would mention it Jackal jackaL Wrote:Quote:If you sell a 32 slot server, it won't and probably never will be filled with people 24/7. god I hate little kids... you are funny first of all.. your server in your signature only has 10.31 average players out of 25 slots. that's barely 41%. I don't think you have ever studied statistics. out of millions of server owners, how many do you think have 24/7 full servers? now you can start mentioning your friend george and joe and alyx who happened to have 24/7 full 32 slot servers... ok so? does that mean everyone in this world has 24/7 full server? I majored in business administration and studied economics and statistics for serveral years. I'll start my MBA in a few years. Your shallow middle school knowledge in statistics just makes me laugh... p.s. what's your friend's game server ip? I want to know which 32 slot server is literally full 24/7.

Thanks... you are the one who just posted a silly comment saying that I was exaggerting because your friend has 24/7 full 32 slot server while your server is not even half full most of the day lol. I know I shouldn't fight with little kids and it's something I need to fix I should've majored in psychology as well... or at least a minor in child development or human growth because I just can't understand teens these days.

So far, my eXGameHosting server has been great. I'm able to get very fast support, and my gameserver has been running great so far. I was testing by creating things like 10 cars welded together, and ragdolls on fire ballsocketed together. None of the tests crashed the eX server, but the BloodServer died. Thanks eXaXXion!

eXaXXion, i dont like your attitude and neither do the 9 other people who have reported you. If you have nothing good or helpfull to say then dont say anything at all. If you want customers then advertise your services in the right place, not through a huge sig and by consitently harassing people for their custom by slating other companies, its very unprofessional and most of all its against the rules of this forum.
Just remember, no matter how good you think you are, there are more people who are better than you. Another toe out of line and the mod stick will land heavilly on your head. -P
