i GOT MAJOR PROBLEM WITH MY SERVER

if i turn my server on it like adds itself to 2 master servers is that ok
i wont show up in the main lis i tried port forwording and it still doesnt work (yes i have a server.CFG)
PLZ HELP

yes, that's normal.
your server might not show up when you search for
servers. there's just way too many servers and they
won't all appear on your list when you hit the
search button. some servers show up, some don't.
if you are using 27015 as the port, open 27015 and
your server should be ready to accept new players.

Your going to need more then one port to be opened here is a full list of all the ports needed.
[UDP] 1200 (used for Steam's Friends service)
[UDP] 27000 to 27015 (so that means all ports in between too)
[TCP] 27030 to 27039 (idem)
=> these are all Steam related ports

[UDP] 27015 and 27020 (default DS port, also used for HLTV)
[TCP] 27015 (you want to forward this for RCON access)

thanks for posting this. I'm on a phone modem right now so... anyway
add to what hexitnow said, you don't need to open 1200 UDP to use steam friend's service. other than that, you should open all other ports for dedicated servers.

Yeah im kinda stupid and my server worked before i never had prolems
but since i recently redownloaded it i got problems (and how the **** do i open ports).....?

lol calm down, this forums is very active. mostly you get a reply within 12 hours or so.

I check this forum every morning, afternoon and evening so between those times u have to wait a bit

For portforwading, you have to do it in your router, there are thousands of port posts on these forums just look in one of those, it will explain everything.
