Sorry for the bump.

Was just wondering out of srcdsfpsbooster and windows media player - which solution uses the less system resources and boosts fps more?

srcdsfpsbooster uses alot less resources than windows media player.
fps should be the same

Have you tested this?

I tested it.
Same fps, but less memory usage with the booster.

You can grab the booster from my ftp:
http!//orion.cabspace.com/Sonstiges/srcdsfpsboost.exe

You have to replace the "!" after http with a ":"

Yes I've tested it.
Windows Media Player uses a skin, media files, all other kind of stuff that get's updated in the library. All things that use loads of resources compared to the prompt window.
I'm not sure about the same FPS but it should be the same

WMP uses 3 mb at my server, which is nothing. I just prefer not using any "not standard stuff" without very well testing. WMP shouldn't give any problem at all...

srcdsfpsboost uses 788kb, my WMP fluctuates between 10-15MB

fps are limited to 512
1000fps are possible on windows, but requires a non-acpi install.

I myself have used srcdsfpsboost as long as i can remember, as far as i no it, it uses the same method as WMP but they tweaked out all the useless stuff that WMP needs, so basically is's the same.

Is there anyway to modify the current os to allow 1000fps?
