my server is laggy
#61
it is because u have the server on the same system ur playing on, trust me, u need Dual core, not hyperthreading, and also a good amount of ram because it needs to be shared between the server and game. Also because the HDD is being shared between the server and client, loading on the server will be slower. Your connection seems fine though, but there is a big difference between real Dual Core and shitty hyperthreading lol

oh and edward, as long as his CPU doesnt go 100% it's fine, he tell me he has cable, I think the problem lies there

What... that sucks real real bad, if you're still paying the same tell them to upgrade it or lower the price.

My parents pay $40-$45 a month for this service and before I tell them to upgrade it or lower the price, I'll get satellite internet through Dish or directv they offer a better service lol. The internet service that I have is COX High Speed Internet and it sucks every night around 2:00 am it goes out. Also I am stuck with this internet untill I move to a different state. So I will have to put up with this shitty internet for about a year lol.

Hey if I get a better internet with 9mbps download and 1mbps upload will that help to stop the lag on my server?

The download speed is not going to help. You could have a million kilobytes per second and your server will still not run well. It's all in the upload bandwidth. 1mbps is what I have and it works for about a 12 person server with no lag.
