Note that the 2Mbps you mentioned is most likely your DOWNLOAD speed!

that doesnt have ANYTHING to do with how many slots u can serve.

If u have ADSL u would have like 512kbps UPLOAD, which serves 1x 12 players max
If u have cable you can host maybe 8, since cable download/upload ratio's are real sucky.

Most important is your upload speed, try to find out what you have and post it here so we can give you the correct number of players you can serve.

If 2Mbps IS your upload then stick to what khjb007 said and consider this post unwritten Smile

Hey Dronco cable download/upload ratio is better than DSL lol its always higher for exaple 1Mbps download you will have 512kps upload and for DSL same download your upload is only going to be 256kps..just thought id tell ya Smile

here in holland its (at my place and ALOT of other cities i know for sure) exactly the opposite

i have 3000/512 atm, they are a bit holding back on my upload, i used to have a 2-1 connection. cable almost always on 2-0.25 over here unless you pay your whole salary to get higher

In the US I see the same rates for cable like 6Mbps/384kbps or 3000/256. Most DSL is 1500/384 or 3000/512 or 6000/768. Don't get me wrong there are exceptions but in general DSL gets you more upload in the US.

Here in Holland everyone is on cable, which makes it too busy and slows down the speed due to overbooking...

DSL however never goes down, thats a HUGE plus over here.
