Can't connect to my TF2 Server! PLEASE HELP!
#1
I am pretty sure my port forwarding is set up right, and my start batch file seems fine, and it says it is open to the public but when I try to connect it just times out. My TCP is open, but UDP says some other application is blocking it. And that application is TF2 the game itself.

here is my RUN.bat file~
Code:
c:\HLserver\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game tf +ip 192.168.1.4 -hostport 27015 +maxplayers 10 +map cp_orange_x4

here is my server.cfg~
Code:
// Team Fortress 2 Server Configuration File, To be used with TF2 only!

// Server Name
hostname "Team Fortress 2"

// Rcon Cvars
rcon_password "" //Set's remote control password
sv_rcon_banpenalty 15 //Number of minutes to ban users who fail rcon authentication
sv_rcon_log 1 //Enable/disable rcon logging.

sv_minrate 0 //Min bandwidth rate allowed on server, 0 == unlimited
sv_minupdaterate 30 //Minimum updates per second that the server will allow

And here is how I have it port forwarded~

Set the "+ip 192.168.1.4" tag in your server bat file to your public IP, the one you are using is your local IP.

You can find your public IP here:

http://www.whatsmyip.org

For example, instead of using 192.168.1.4, you would use 176.78.288.34 (random example of what a public IP would look like). Then it should be "+ip 176.78.288.34".

Sorry about the late reply, but I think it'd be better if you had an updated version of this post to look at, I fixed this problem, but it only led to another.

I'm sorry but if I understand you correctly, you're saying you reposted everying in another new thread. Is that correct? If so, that just makes this harder to deal with. It's much easier to follow a problem when it's all in one place.
