Hmmmm funky operating system for dedicated servers.

Any how, 24 or more decent servers is my guess, all depends on game and mods etc.

Storage server is a pretty 'funky' operating system, but it's actually not much different from normal Windows Server. The only thing really different is a few pre-installed web page modules where you can manage the storage remotely.

It's a £10,000 server and is for work, but what I was wondering was, if I had these specs to use as a game server provider how many servers/slots would it be able to run? I don't play any other game than Counter Strike, so would only be selling 1.6, Source and GO servers.

How many slots would these servers be?

Again, many thanks.

Depends on the mods and addons of each servers.

Theoretically you could run 12 huge CPU hungry zombie servers. Or 320 empty 10 slot CS 1.6 servers...
Looking for a game server? Visit fullfrag.com and pick one up as low as $2.50 / mo!

I have a Dell R210 II with a 60 GB Corsair ssd and a Intel Xeon E3-1270 cpu running with intel turbo mode, runs over 12 servers smoothly. we have 21, but they all arent full at the same time.

As others said, it just depends but yeah in the region of 12+, it just depends on how many slots each have. Like others said, you could have 300+ empty servers, but that's pointless.
