bandwidth rates / settings


Hello everyone, I'd like any of the in can help me with my server layer

I have 20 mbit / upload 10 mbit
and I do not know how server settings must be made

How much slots?
If it's 24, here are the rates:

sv_minrate 15000
sv_maxrate 50000
sv_minupdaterate 33
sv_maxupdaterate 66

If it's more slots then decrease it, if it's less then increase it.

if you dont have the best internet or computer, u can use the script srcds has where u can make ur server 33 tic and it has no lag. lol

Well 2 mbit might be a pain....
For a 24 slot server, i would make it:

Code:

sv_maxrate 25000
sv_minrate 2500
sv_maxupdaterate 66
sv_minupdaterate 33
sv_maxcmdrate 66
sv_mincmdrate 33

try that first....

fps should be locked at 66. And there is probably fps boosters out there.. Just google search it. Anyway tickrate at 66 and fps at 66 should be good.

In most situations you're not going to be able to run a high quality server on a residential internet connection... It's just not going to perform or be competitive with professionally hosted servers.

I don't think fps_max works for servers anymore... Anyway it should be set to 66.7
