ok heres the situation i hAve a 715 upload and a 2734 download no what should i put the rates at heres the info the test showed

Download Speed: 2743 kbps (342.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 712 kbps (89 KB/sec transfer rate)

Amd xp 3200+
Daul 100 gb maxtor HDDS
1 GB of ram
gigabyte GA-7n400-L Mobo
Acer 56x Cd drive
Nvidia 6600GT Vid card

to calculate rates you only need one formula (for sv_maxrate that is)

Bandwidth * 128 / Players

Bandwidth in kbps and players the number of players you wish to run. The number that comes out should be entered as sv_maxrate
sv_minrate should be somewhere you like, 1000 or something, the higher you set it the more sustain rate the players will get. note than above 4000 will keep 56k users away.
sv_maxupdaterate should be set to 100
sv_minupdaterate should be set to 20

That's all there is to it, just be sure to keep real sv_maxrate, like for 8 players I wouldn't go any lower than 5000 for maxrate.
