I wouldn't recommend any VPS's period. Just spend a bit more money and get a true dedicated server. It will cause you less headaches in the long run and will keep your clients on the boxes.

Mooga, starting a GSP on a VPS doesn't belong anywhere, nor does it makes sence.

I have seen it working on some GSP.

Dedicated server's aren't "cheap".
They cost a fair amount per month and unless you can guarantee a profit, you could lose a good amount of money fairly quickly.
If you can afford to purchase a server, colocation would be a better option. If you want to rent a server, Joe's DC has good prices. However, that being said, I would never sell someone a game server(or web server at that) hosted on a VPS.

Saddening to see, there are still people starting dollar hosts in this industry. VPS wouldn't work for selling game servers, infact most of the VPS providers don't allow game servers. You're better off leasing and colocating a small server to boot.

Another thing you could try is reselling.

Well... Wish you luck.

If you REALLY want to go through with a VPS server for your game server, I would check out NFO's VPS/VDS deals, however if you end up doing the smart thing and getting a dedicated server try contacting colocrossing or ubiquity servers and see if they can work out a deal with you

Let me give you my 2 cents.
I've seen many people trying to open GSPs around here. They all believe one, simple misconceptions: Starting a GSP is a cheap, easy hobby that results in a huge profit.

1) It's expensive. Starting a business is expensive. Buying servers are very expensive.
2) Starting a GSP is starting a BUSINESS. This requires a ridiculous amount of time, energy, and money. Not to speak of all the time and money required for customer service.
3) Becoming a competitive GSP means competing with cheap, bad quality GSPs. The fact is that in order to compete, you need to sell slots for less then what it costs. Or you can over-stuff servers and worry about what to do when people realize that you are cheating them out of what they are paying for.

If you are going to open a GSP, you have to be super serious about it and willing to put in a lot of money, and possibly lose all of it.

Oh, and you've also got the taxes you've got to pay for what you earn, report to the country what you earn and so on. Unless you're serious as Mooga said, there is little point. 14 year old sporadic kids who wants to earn some money by hosting servers on a home connection and doing cash under the table just won't cut it online.
