I'm new to running a server and cannot get it online. it does function over LAN.

Basic Info
Server OS: Windows 7 ultimate x64
Processor: i7-2600k 8 logical cores, 4 physical, 3.70 GHz
Ram: 8GB
Game: Team Fortress 2
Start Up Command: c:\HLServer\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game tf -hostport 27015 +maxplayers 24 +map ctf_2fort
No Mods

NETWORK AND BANDWIDTH INFO
Bandwidth: 14.43 Mbps down, 15.89 Mbps up
Router: Linksys WRT54G version 6 (normal firmware)

Forwarding port 27015 TCP and UDP
[Verizon Router]-Ethernet-v-----Coax------v

Basically the coax cable from the modem runs to the verizon router which acts as a bridge, and the ethernet cable from the modem runs to the linksys router
I am NOT playing on the computer that is hosting.

when it starts to run, the console says

Just do 27000 - 27050.
Doing it the way he had it will cause issues with your router.

Please do not PM me for server related help

Who is "people"? Only you? That could be because your router doesn't support nat-loopback or has the wrong settings for it.

I believe it's because you put the ports under "Port Triggering" when it needs to be under "Port Range Forward". The ports need to know what IP address to go to (server local IP). Also make sure you're using the latest firmware on your Linksys router. Older firmware isn't always friendly with Steam. http://support.linksys.com is where you need to go to double check.

Being more precise would only make it easier for us to determinate your problem.
