Hey,
I was wondering how many servers can this small dedicated hold?
Intel® Atom™ D525 Dual Core 1,8 GHz + HT
2048 MB DDR3 RAM
1 Gbit onBoard
connected at 100 Mbit
I am looking to host TF2 server, and maybe even minecraft somtimes.
How many slots of Source games can it handle?
Thanks!

I suppose you could run a couple light weight 16~ slot CS:S servers without any addons.
I doubt you will be able to run a very large Minecraft server. Lately we have noticed a large increase in CPU usage due to the ever expanding number of addons ( lagons ).
If you're looking for the performance I would highly recommend one of the second generation i series servers. What is your budget? We may have something available to suit your needs.

I want to run TF2 server, not CSS, not sure how much of a difference it makes anyways.
What about "AMD 4200+ 2x 2.2Ghz"? how many slots can this one hold?
I checked your site, and I am actually looking for a dedicated from Germany.

I am not going to sell the servers or anything, they are just for personal use, so spending more than 50$ seems dumb.
You think it can hold 2 servers of TF2, with 12 slots each?
And I need a dedicated because I will be running some java apps there from time to time, sbnc, and downloading and uploading files that I need.

Eh, I suppose it could. I haven't tried any of those low end processors for game servers before. I'm not sure how it would perform.

Yes both servers will be fine with only those players with tf2, but no minecraft servers.

No, as Intel also have stated: "Atom processors are not intented to be used as server processors!"
It will perform horrible compared to i3/i5/i7.

For a simple webserver and a low-traffic e-mailserver it would be good, but it's not intended as a gameserver host.

Well if you want to get technical, no desktop processor's are meant for server purposes, hence why there is a desktop processor and server processor categories. But hey, me and loopyman would not know, it's not like we work with them everyday, so what the hell, listen to the two post's above.

Desktop processors can perform just as good as server processors. Just that they may or may not be as stable as a Xeon e.g

Game servers work just fine on desktop processors. They don't do any high level of encryption, encoding and compression which makes server processors shine in database, security and streaming media. There isn't a huge problem with using a desktop processor to host game servers. It's more cost effective.
