Well, with a 980X (hexa?) you could possibly host 5 - 10 servers. 20 slots i guess.
How many servers can this dedi hold?

Arg... I thought I posted this already. I guess not.
Atom processors are bad for gaming. Good for light/middle-weight web servers. Don't even consider any server based on an Atom processor. Here's what the resource requirements are of a couple of TF2 servers that I help manage. The OS is Linux The CPU is an Athlon x6 1055T CPU with 4GB of PC800 DRR2 RAM on an old desktop board. Each 24/32-player TF2 server needs it's own core. At full load time, the CPU can peak up to 80% usage, but averages maybe 40%. The srcds binary is unthreaded and unoptimized for current CPUs. Bandwidth needed is about 1Mbps inbound and 4Mbps outbound per 24/32-player server. Our heavily modified server with sourcemod and other stuff needs about 450MB of RAM. Vanilla needs 250MB, I think. Disk drives really don't matter, but the install takes up about 6GB and more if you want logs and demos locally.

Jmomo is basically pretty close. Just check out the CPU Benchmark scores and go for as high of a score as you can. You really dont have to worry about RAM because any machine you buy now a days should have plenty of RAM.

Its difficult to say - depends on plugins/players and such.. But i would recommend Sandy Bridge instead.
