[RESOLVED] Connection reset error
#1
Hello, I have been getting this "connection reset, winsoch error 10054". I tried to download again over 15 times, it always ends at 95.34%. My internet connection is with router, i have open ports from 27000 to 28000. Few months ago, i was using Windows 7 x64 and it downloaded perfectly from the first time, now i have installed Windows XP and this problem came along. I don't think that version of windows should matter but i don't know anymore. I tried searching forums, googleing this problem and i couldn't find an answer anywhere.

Thanks for Your help.

Else try closing Steam, usually solves most problems with dedicated servers.

The thing is that I am not using steam, steam isn't even installed in my computer. It wasn't installed when i had Win7 either. Smile

Can you start the server?

By just double-clicking on .exe - no. I think i wouldn't be able to start it at all because 'cstrike' folder is missing, the download isn't finished.

If I start the download again at the same folder, it checks everything and says that everything is up-to-date, but it doesn't have cstrike folder and scrds.exe doesn't start.

Oh.. you are installing Counter-Strike: Source? I didn't notice that you had put orangebox in your install params.
Use "Counter-Strike Source" instead of OrangeBox Smile
Code:
hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir D:\games\scrds
It must be in quotes btw. Smile

Thanks, I'll try now, but will I be able to connect to this server using orangebox client?
