Hello people!
Well, i have an q9550 + 8gb ram + 640gb raid 0 server in the datacenter with 20mbits up/down bandwith.
The problem is that i have a high average ping and what is worse, very frequent high ping peaks (300ms or more).
The server is using windows server 2008 R2, and its NOT caused because of lack of resources, because the problem persists even if there is only 1 player inside and 1 server running.
Is it a Windows configuration problem or the problem is because of the connection?
thank you very much in advance.

I run some server 2008 game servers and I haven't had a problem with it. I use the same type of hardware as you aswell...
BUT, please give us more information.

Sounds like a bad network connection. Can I ask who is the host?

If you look on the speedtest, it says 2, and that is rather low. And the ms on the pings is 192, so 300 ingame would not be unnormal.
Looks like the server is hooked up to some shitty connection really.

Okay, i have located all the IP's on your traceroute and try take a look here:
Tracert from you to server
190.0.162.5 - Ituzaingó, Argentina
200.89.165.133 - Munro, Argentina
200.42.42.73 - Buenos Aires, Argentina
200.42.42.121 - Buenos Aires, Argentina
200.63.151.65 - Buenos Aires, Argentina
From now, we have suddenly come to Spain
84.16.9.233 - Oeste, SPAIN
94.142.121.214 - Oeste, SPAIN
94.142.124.105 - Oeste, SPAIN
213.140.53.226 - Oeste, SPAIN
Back to Argentina
195.22.220.110 - Buenos Aires, Argentina
190.224.165.109 - Buenos Aires, Argentina
Now it leaves Buenos Aires and goes to Tucumán... strange
190.225.249.210 - Tucumán, Argentina
Goes back to Buenos Aires
190.224.27.90 - Buenos Aires, Argentina
190.0.160.1 - Ituzaingó, Argentina
190.0.162.5 - Ituzaingó, Argentina
Theres certainly some routing error. You get high latency/ping because that your packets are travelling from Argentina to Spain, and then back from Spain to Argentina. I would check it up with my host.

This has nothing to do with hardware or software on your server.
There are CLEARLY network issues happening. Talk to your host.
