its not a home pc and not a home connection.

can it run 4 servers though?

i've read a few other topics that you can run 1 server on each core.

4*30 slots Imo, what OS? RAM will limit your capacity before CPU/Upload if your own windows.

120 slots will take ~20mbit bandwidth, he only has 10mbit

The CPU can hold 4 servers
RAM will hold 8 servers
bandwidth will hold 60 slots @66tick

So yeah you can make ~4 servers at 16 slots each if you want, or 3x 20slots, doesn't matter much. Just don't go too far over 60 slots.

thanks a lot for the help guys.

the server will be running on windows server 2003 r2.

so it won't be necessary for me to have 4gb of ram then, so i can just use 2gb instead?

2 should do just fine for the amount of players you can have Smile

2GB Is pushing it... IMO

BUT, you should be fine as long as all you want to run is game servers.

That's if all 120slots are full (which I doubt), and a q6600 can handle 120slots easily.

Its the bandwidth that's limiting, not the processor. Drocona already stated that.
You don't want to run over your bandwidth limit. IF he ran 120 slots and 70 were full, every server would lag horribly.

That server can run 4 24-slot servers. However the bandwidth would limit you to only about 2 of those 4 servers.

Please do not PM me for server related help
