have you guys ever thought that it could be true, that there is no difference between 950 and 1000 fps? I know how to reach exactly 1000 fps, I also know how to reach more than 1000 fps. but this is pure marketing. you don't need this to increase your server's quality, you only need this to impress possible clients with some high number. maybe this is why nobody want's to help here easily. sharing some knowledge that helps normal people (i.e. clan admins etc.) to achieve a high quality is one thing. helping someone to make more money is something else. you don't get this for free...
and yes: it is not possible to reach exactly 1000 fps or beyond with a kernel modification only. it's a limit of the game engine.

The difference of 50 microseconds (0.05 milliseconds!) can nobody possibly notice." I read your thread too. Thanks for the advice I will try the older kernel. With the pre "lib".... I asked two people, one wanted 500 euro for it (rofl...), the other had sell it already to other "provider". I think you will not get any help from these people, because they want money for their "godlike" library. I will try the older kernel with the same settings I have. Thanks

Isn't the grsec patch just going to slow down the kernel with all the additional security verifications? @ Behaartes Are you saying that you're not telling everything in your wiki because of money?

@ Peter
It's not built in, but in the first post you can see that Forgotten had applied the grsec patch. I think he wants it (he seems to know what he's doing) PS. I'm afraid to give plus reputation for Forgotten and then being "revenged" by others. His first post is text book example how to first post.

which older kernel? normall all the kernel lower than 2.6.28 >> try 2.6.27 or lower > these should work.

I don't think there's too much difference between the minor release numbers. There's the latest grsec patch for http://www.grsecurity.net/grsecurity-2.1.12-2.6.27.10-200812271347.patch.gz (2.6.27.10). It's probably going to perform as well as the clean 2.6.27.36. I'm surprised if it doesn't. Maybe you'll get even closer to the 1000 fps the older kernel you go I also boosted some of your reputation because this thread definitely is help for others albeit having lousy start. Also, it's been the tradition to post the fpsmeter.org screenshot here when you're finished

well, there's a very ugly exploit out there that has been fixed with version 2.6.27.30
i really dont like to use such a riskware xD (actually it's just a local exploit, but i like to play safe ) PS: I'll post an fps-meter screen as soon as possible //edit: here it is i'm sorry there are no players online xD
