How about we start listing all the computers out there and ask the admins which are good and which are not lol. This way you dont get the same damn question 5 times a week.
Not going to happen, but thought I would state that.

Just look for a computer with a dual or quad core processor run at at least 2.4 GHz with a minimum of 4GB of ram (to be safe).

You have to define "good" and what you want to run, depends on how "good" the box should be.

a simple single core would be fine, but for room, any dual-core is plenty.

Probably irrelevant by now but anyway. In my experience with SRCDS is that with over 10 people connected at a time the bandwidth starts to be a big issue especially if you are using a lot of plugins/workshop stuff. The best possible way in my opinion to roll-out SRCDS servers is to rent VPS's with a good bandwidth (If it's a good host you should be able to get a decent server $20 a month) with at least 2GB of RAM and 1 Core(s) for each SRCDS server (This depends what OS is on the machine and how many players are on your server and the amount of plugins used) so that way you have a dedicated network connection for each server, and for the of god please use Linux you don't want Windows Server taking a dump all over your resources. ;P
PS. If not already you should be using a dedicated webserver for FastDL so you also have another dedicated network connection for serving game files to your players/clients.
PPS. At the end of the day it depends what you want to sacrifice for performance, also I believe SRCDS will never have multicore support since the beta of SRCDS including multicore support that was being worked on by UKCS seems to have been "accidentally" shredded by some bastard so your can probably toss away your dreams of a perfect server.
Pretty fly for a sys admin :p
