SRCDS Steam group


Need help with another thing ....

Hello when i made my other thread it was all about the hldsupdatetool and the admin helped me but when i run the sever now it just says: "Couldn't allocate dedicated server udp prot" and when i downloaded srcds i maked a shortcut to srcds.exe and named it RUN SRCDS and in propeties i have this settings "C:\SRCDS\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike -tickrate 33 -ip 84.216.49.210 -port 27015 -maxplayers 10 +map de_dust2" in the -ip should i use the ip i can find in http://www.whatsmyip.com or should i use the 192.168.1.XX And when i open cmd and type "ipconfig/all" it just says " ip config/all is not an commando" or something like that what the problem ??

and if someone can go to portforward.com and choose this router "Dlink" and then you choose "DSL 2640v2" and choose the game and tell me what ports to open ? thank you Smile

Open your ports to your LOCAL IP of the computer running the servers.

local ip is that 192.168.1.XX or the ip i found on http://www.whatsmyip.com ? and when i go to portforward and then i choose my router name and then i need to select a game and im running a cs:s server so what game should i take i cant find counter strike source but i can find counter strike 1.6 so should i take that game ?

Yes just take Counter Strike 1,6

To make your server accessible to the public all you should have to do is forward the correct ports on your router to your servers INTERNAL IP address (which is your 192.168.x.x address).

Afterwords in your start up line (C:\SRCDS\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike -tickrate 33 -ip 84.216.49.210 -port 27015 -maxplayers 10 +map de_dust2) change "-ip 84.216.49.210" to your internal IP address ( -ip 192.168.x.x)

For friends to connect to your server they will need your external IP address and the server port number (84.216.48.210:27015). If everything is set up correctly, when they go to connect, they should hit your External IP > Your Router > Which then forwards all traffic on port 27015 to the internal IP (192.168.x.x) of your server.

If you think you have forwarded everything correctly and it still isn't working, you might need to make sure that your Router's firewall is blocking or filtering WAN requests. I notice that these are enabled because when I tried to ping your IP address (assuming that is your real IP address) I got no response.

Ok can you check this on portforward for me please ^^ im such a noobish at this

can you choose dlink DSL 2640bv2 nad choose the game and tell me what ports to open and i think i will make it ^^ btw i have a new ip adress now idk how but here it is .. 84.216.50.85 and here is my server.cfg folder if its that, that make it not to work ..

i think i found the problem ! ? when i open the RUN SRCDS shortvut it says there Network: Ip 192.168.1.2, mode MP, dedicated Yes, prots 27015 SV / 27005 CL

but when i type in connect 84.216.50.85:27015 in console in css its just says

connect 84.216.50.85:27015
